*Edit***Box Diagram**. In its simplest form, the box and whisker diagram has a box showing the range from first to third quartiles. On a box and whisker diagram, outliers should be excluded from the whisker portion of the diagram.

Boxplot is probably the most commonly used chart type to compare distribution of several groups. The diagram is made up of a "box", which lies between the upper and lower quartiles. A box and whisker plot—also called a box plot—displays the five-number summary of a set of data.
